Description

This book creatively combines the four seasons with paper cutting to bring creative handwork into life and share happiness.

This book introduces the culture, tools, process, application and other basic knowledge of Chinese paper cutting to readers, and briefly introduces the unique characteristics of Chinese solar terms. In addition to 24 main pictures, there are 96 single flower paper-cuts of corresponding seasons for each solar term.

Author

Zhou Dongmei is a Chinese national senior arts and crafts artist, a provincial-level inheritor of Pucheng paper-cutting skill of the national intangible cultural heritage project, a master of arts and crafts in Fujian Province, a member of the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association, and a member of CCPS Chinese Paper-cut Art Committee.

Her works have won the first China Paper-cut Art Festival and the 10th China Folk Arts and Crafts "Shanhua Award", Outstanding Skills Award (the highest award) of the National Taiwan Scholars Paper-cut Invitational Exhibition, and National Paper-cut Exhibition Collection Award (first prize)…
