Feature
★ This book includes two novellas by Ye Mi, the former showing the transformation of family and friendship from adolescence to youth, and trying to explore the painful experience of teenagers from weak to strong, from youth to maturity, and from confusion to intellectual experience on the road of growth; the latter tells of a prophetic and impermanent fate that took place in a remote mountain village, with some people thinking, “the unbelieving Jiang Bainian may have turned into an eagle flying high”.
Description
Growing up Like Moulting: the author set the story in the 90s of the 20th century, focusing on the fierce conflicts faced by the protagonist's younger brother in family affection, love and friendship, and portraying the transformation process of the younger brother vividly. At first, he was full of angularity, but eventually became a "calm and open-minded" person and a "brave" person.
An Eagle Disappeared in the Potala Palace focuses on the resolute and persistent character of Jiang Bainian, who once became a feared hero in the village because of his waist wrapping explosives around the temple, but after the mysterious death of his wife Ge Baozhen, he chose to drive alone to the Potala Palace in Tibet to guard the world's largest temple. He has since disappeared into people's lives, but some people still remember that they always felt that “the unbelieving Jiang Bainian may have become an eagle flying high”.
