Description

A strange red whistle had been sitting on the divider and mom said I couldn't touch it because it was something only adults could use. But dad could get to play with it, and every time he blew the whistle, it attracted some bears. At first, dad just whistled softly once in a while, and that's when a golden bear would come to our house. The little golden bear was very kind and got along well with both mom and me. Later, dad loved to whistle more and more, and the sound has become louder and louder, the family came to the big brown bear and the big black bear, which broke a lot of things and made a mess in my house. My mom was tired of cleaning up, began to complain with dad. But dad just don’t deal with it and he can't give up whistling to stay away from the bears. Sometimes the bears attack me. My family is no longer as cozy and harmonious as it used to be, and later on, the police uncle came! ...

Author

[Writer] Oliver Dupin
This is my 8th year of writing children's books. I am an elementary school teacher and would always read some works with my students, which gave me the idea of writing. At first I wrote some detective novels, then I wrote children's literature and children's picture books. Now I write in all genres and for all ages. To date, I have published more than 70 books and still love writing as much as before. What I have always pursued is the hope that my words can help children, even if it's just to help some children.

[Illustrator] Toni Demuro
I like drawing on my parents' books since I was a child, and I used to think it was pleasing to fill in all these weird symbols with colorful colors. Then I became literate, I realized that drawings can express something about the world beyond words, and can help words show a world full of emotions. Therefore, I decided to become an illustrator. Today, I have illustrated more than 40 children's picture books.
