Description

This book combines story and knowledge extension to bring children knowledge about architecture and geometry. In the first half of the book, based on three basic shapes of triangle, square and circle, it creates various buildings distributed all over the world from ancient times to the present day through cutting, rotating and combining. In the second half of the book, the classic “100,000 Reasons Why” quiz format is used, with questions such as “Why is a beehive hexagonal?” and “Why is a wheel round?” “Why are wheels round?” and other fun, intriguing questions to further expand children's scientific knowledge of shapes and buildings. The book also features an interactive booklet with mind maps, hands-on drawings, and science experiments to help children retell the story and deepen their memory.

What's the triangle?
It's a pyramid on the bank of the Nile in Egypt!
5,000 years ago, the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids, which housed the mummies of the pharaohs, ancient treasures and exquisite murals.
Despite thousands of years, the pyramids still stand in the ancient land of Egypt.
People stand under the pyramids as if they could travel back in time and witness the construction site thousands of years ago...
What is the square shape?
It is a courtyard in Beijing!
The quadrangle dwellings consist of an inverted seat in the south, east and west compartments and a main house in the north enclosing a square courtyard.
This north-facing, south-facing form of architecture provides protection from the north winds of winter and allows sunlight to flood the house.
What is a circle?
It is the Hakka Tower
The castle-like earthen buildings are grand and sturdy. Thick earthen walls enclose the outer circle, and delicate inner corridors connect the families.
The shrine in the center of the circle enshrines the ancestors and unites the family today.
The circle brings people together to help each other and have fun!
