Description

Everyone dreams, but why do you only remember one dream when you have 4~6 dreams every night? Why do you think your dreams are black and white even though your dreams are colorful? Do animals dream? To understand dreams is to understand our brain and ourselves. This book will take you to explore the mystery of dreams and brain.

This book combines story and knowledge extension to answer children’s creative questions about sleep and dreaming in the second half of the book. For instance, “Is it easier to fall asleep when it is quieter?” “How do dolphins sleep in water?” Children are given a further insight into sleep by this way. The book also has an interactive booklet to assist children to better retell the story and deepen their memorization of knowledge by using mind maps, recording dreams, and making a schedule.

When you go to sleep, although your body rests, your brain is still busy, because it has to make dreams.
When you have a beautiful dream, you will wake up with an enamored feeling:
Why does it just a dream?
When you have a nightmare, you will wake up feeling incredibly grateful:
I'm lucky it was a dream!
I don't want to dream!
Even if you think this way, it's not up to you.
Everyone has 4 to 6 dreams every night, and there are several dreams waiting for you tonight.
However, when you wake up tomorrow, you may only remember one dream which is the one you wake up with, and you will forget everything else!
It is because when a person sleeps, light sleep and deep sleep alternate, which is the curve of the human sleep cycle, and only the dreams you have during light sleep (sleep I) can be remembered.

Can counting help to fall asleep?
After a long day’s work, the nerve cells in the cerebral cortex slowly enter a state of rest, and people will go to sleep. But counting will wake up these nerve cells and tell them “Don't rest. Get up and count”. Some people forget the number to count and they have to start from the beginning. In this way, the nerve cells cannot rest at all, and people cannot sleep.
