Allen Boe discovers that three of his classmates are gradually solving the puzzles – poet Li Sidi, Go genius Fan kuiyin, and his twin brother, Sudoku king Fan Dayin. In order to observe their reasoning ability, Allen Boe pretends to go on a "treasure hunt" with them.
The group searches for clues all the way from the playground track to the poker tournament poster, from the plaster statue of David in the art classroom to the floor tiles under the wisteria arbor...When they finally dig out the box that symbolizes the "treasure," Alan Boe is shocked! The metal coins and the invitation to the detective agency that he has put into the box have disappeared! Inside the box, there are only new clues left behind by the mysterious man: a strange nine-panel grid and a riddle poem.
Allen Boe confesses to the group that he is the mastermind of the treasure hunt, and now, they need to face a new challenge together. From the school swimming pool to the school history archive... eventually, the group finds the mystery man - Carl, their English teacher from elementary school.
It turns out that Mr. Carl is the first to find Allen Boe’s "treasure". In order to test the children's reasoning ability, he deliberately designs a new puzzle.
