Description

A fourth grade girl, Pan Duoduo, approaches a detective agency and commissions them to conduct an investigation at a music box museum.

The private museum, run by Pan Duoduo’s grandfather, is located in a century-old building inherited by the family and exhibits music boxes from all over the world and different eras. The building is called the "Moon Building" because it is white and looks like a curved moon when viewed from above.

There is a Nutcracker exhibition hall on the second floor of the Moon Building, which not only displays music boxes with Nutcracker elements, but also a 1.4-meter-high large Nutcracker ornament. Pan Duoduo says that the big Nutcracker can move by itself! One day, it inexplicably disappeared from the second floor and appeared on the courtyard lawn!

The little detectives go to the "Moon Building" to investigate and find that the Nutcracker is hollow and there is no walking mechanism inside. In the second floor of the showroom where the Nutcracker has been placed, Allen Boe finds that the window width is just enough to allow the Nutcracker to pass through, but the wisteria trellis under the window which has no difference let him disprove his hypothesis: if the Nutcracker is transported down from the window, it must damage the dense wisteria.

Careful Allen Boe soon discovers a new clue: There were two expanded bolts under the window sill, with rust on the bolts that has been faked with paint! Do they have anything to do with the movement of the Great Nutcracker?

Li Sidi sees the slide at the amusement park and she is inspired with an idea for an investigation. After investigating, the little detectives finally reveal the secret of the Nutcracker’s movement downstairs! What secret is hidden behind this bizarre incident?
